GRAVE Prepares To Record New Album

October 13, 2007

Long-running Swedish death metallers GRAVE have issued the following update:

"We are currently working on material for our upcoming eighth studio album. The writing process has been going very good the past month and we already have some songs in the final stages. Release is scheduled to April/May 2008 on a label that we are very excited to start working with. More news on that soon.

"20th anniversary info: Next year it's already 20 years since GRAVE was formed. In 1988 after replacing some members we changed our name from CORPSE. That year we also recorded our classic first demo 'Sick Disgust Eternal' and continued musically what we started with our previous bands DESTROYER, ANGUISH, CORPSE and PUTREFACTION. We will mark the anniversary with a new album and also massive touring and festival appearances where we will mainly play old stuff from the early days.

"Maryland Deathfest 2008: We are proud to announce that GRAVE is confirmed for next year's edition of the Maryland Deathfest which will take place May 23-25. More festivals and shows are being discussed at the moment and will hopefully be added the coming month."

GRAVE's latest album, "As Rapture Comes", was released in July 2006 via Century Media Records. The artwork for "As Rapture Comes" was designed by the Polish artist Jacek Wisnieswki, who previously worked with GRAVE on their "Back From The Grave" and "Fiendish Regression" albums, in addition to designing artwork for such acts as KRISIUN, VADER and DECAPITATED, among others.

GRAVE's live DVD, entitled "Enraptured", was released in Europe on November 27, 2006 via Metal Mind Productions and in the U.S. on February 1, 2007 via MVD Visual.

The band shot the DVD with seven cameras on August 24, 2006 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland. The set, which was made available as a standard DVD edition and a DVD+CD limited edition, also features rare live footage, video clips and more.
